Getting global enterprises data-ready for AI

Discovery and classification are the entry points to safe AI adoption. You need to identify sensitive data with precision, at scale.

But AI changes what “good” looks like. Data is constantly moving across SaaS, cloud, and on-prem. Access changes fast. New apps, pipelines, third parties, and agents show up every day. Soon, it will be every minute. A point-in-time inventory isn’t enough.

To be ready for AI, Cyera customers are laying a strong foundation of intelligence about their data, at multi-petabyte scale:

  • Paramount classified 51PB+ of data across 400K+ datastores in under two weeks.
  • ChenMed turned data risk visibility into rapid remediation, resolving 32,000+ issues before patient data could be exposed.
  • A health insurance company identified and prioritized high-risk datasets at scale and remediated 1.2PB before AI could access them, resulting in more than $100M in AI risk reduction.

That’s why we built Cyera’s AI-native data classification from the ground up to go beyond “finding sensitive data” and turn discovery and classification into Actionable Data Intelligence. Not just labels, but the context needed to act: business context, ownership, identity, access, usage, and exposure. That is what lets security and data leaders:

  1. Focus on what matters most, not what’s loudest
  2. Prove control with evidence that stays current
  3. Drive remediation faster, with clear owners and next steps
We believe Forrester reinforced this direction, noting in our vendor profile: “[Cyera’s] focus on the dynamic classification and continuous assessment of intent and drift stands out for tackling long-standing industry challenges as well as establishing a foundation for agentic AI governance.”

Our goal is simple: enable organizations to adopt AI safely. We are building for a working world that is going to change fast. We may not know exactly how. No one does. But we do know data and access security will be at the core.

Advancing data security intelligence at the speed of AI

Here is what we have shipped recently to help teams move fast without losing control:

  • New customizable taxonomy layer via Classification Topics, organizing classification signals into business-aligned concepts so teams can prioritize what to fix first.
  • Complete access and blast radius visibility via Access Trail and Data Lineage for Files, showing who interacted with sensitive data and how it propagates across systems for faster investigation and response.
  • Expanded on-prem coverage and identity context, bringing unified discovery, AI-driven classification, Context, and remediation across cloud, SaaS, and on-prem environments.
  • Faster remediation and clearer compliance posture via AI-Powered Issue Severity and Risk Mapping to Regulatory Controls, prioritizing issues in context and aligning findings to frameworks so teams focus on what matters most.
  • Progress toward federal readiness via FedRAMP High in Process, supporting organizations with stricter sovereignty and regulatory requirements as AI adoption expands.

All of this builds on the same foundation: making data intelligence actionable by enriching every finding with business and identity context. That is what allows teams to move faster, prove control with evidence, and reduce risk without turning AI adoption into a stop sign.

What’s next

AI is changing how data is created, accessed, and used across the enterprise, and we continue to invest in a unified platform experience that makes it easier to protect data and secure AI in one place. We are also doubling down on execution. Expect continued innovation across prioritization, reporting, workflows, and remediation so reducing data risk and AI risk becomes a durable operational motion, not a recurring fire drill.
