Cyera and Anthropic integrate to bring real-time AI security to Claude Enterprise

Cyera Omni DLP integrates with the Claude Compliance API, extending DLP, insider risk, and audit coverage to Claude Enterprise conversations, files, and user activity.

Enterprise security has been running on borrowed time. Cyera Research analyzed 2.4 million workers and found that employees use about 4% of the access they've been granted. The other 96% sat dormant long enough that most teams stopped worrying about it.

AI just made that 96% matter, and most of it is happening in ways security teams can’t see.

Extending Cyera Omni DLP to Every Claude Conversation

Cyera’s integration with Anthropic's Claude Compliance API changes that. Take the below example of an employee using Claude Enterprise to make stock trading decisions based on an internal revenue forecast. trying to find hidden API keys in their coworkers’ inbox. This exchange is invisible without Cyera’s Omni DLP integration with the Claude Compliance API.

[Fig 1: An employee prompts Claude Enterprise to make a stock trading decision using an attached internal revenue forecast file, illustrating how AI can surface sensitive financial data and create insider trading risk.]

Cyera connects to Claude Enterprise through Claude's Compliance API, bringing full visibility into how employees are using AI, including what data they're accessing, what they're sharing, and when it warrants attention. From there, every conversation and file runs through Omni DLP, the same engine already covering 250-plus connectors across your databases, cloud storage, and SaaS apps. Sensitive data gets classified, risky behavior gets flagged, and every interaction is auditable from day one.

Classification goes beyond pattern matching. Cyera’s AI-powered classification reads context to identify PII, PHI, and financial data, and weighs intent along the way.

[Fig 2: Cyera’s Omni DLP platform shows the user’s unauthorized use of revenue forecasts in Claude, showing what happened, who triggered the alert, which data was involved, and a risk analysis]

Before anything reaches your team, Cyera scores risk, filters false positives, and enriches alerts with behavioral context, so the alerts that arrive are the ones worth investigating. A legal team member reviewing case files with PII doesn't generate noise because they're authorized for that data. An engineer uploading production database credentials at 2 AM gets flagged.

Audit every AI interaction. Act on risk in real time.

Once Claude Enterprise activity lives in Omni DLP, the questions your team needs to answer have answers. Which employees accessed sensitive data through AI, and when? Did a breach touch Claude? Is someone using the tool in ways that should raise flags? Deploy Claude Enterprise with confidence, meet compliance requirements without slowing adoption, and enforce consistent data handling policies across AI and every other system you already monitor.

  • Full audits without starting an investigation. When an auditor asks for every instance of patient data reaching an AI tool in Q1, you run a report. It comes back with Claude conversations, user identities, timestamps, classifications, and policy status.
  • Catch the insider mid-pattern. Correlate Claude usage with database queries and file downloads and behavior that looks harmless in any single tool starts to stand out. Some environments have assigned admin privileges to nearly 30% of users, six times the recommended level. When someone in that group starts uploading earnings reports at odd hours, behavioral analytics surface it before it becomes an incident.
  • Detect and respond before risks become breaches. You can tell right away whether sensitive data passed through Claude, who touched it, and what they did next. Alerts route through real-time notifications, tickets in Jira or ServiceNow, and SIEM events to Splunk or Sentinel.

The stronger move

The enterprise AI revolution is here. Claude Enterprise is empowering organizations to work faster, solve harder problems, and unlock new capabilities. But without visibility, security teams are flying blind. Blocking AI tools entirely stifles productivity and drives employees to unapproved alternatives. Manual audits can't scale. Siloed AI security tools create yet another dashboard, duplicate policies, and increase alert fatigue.

When the 4% of permissions humans actually use becomes 100% accessible to AI and agents, your security controls need to scale with it.

The teams that figure this out first are the ones whose employees unlock more of AI. Because when you can see everything happening to your data inside Claude Enterprise, you can stop restricting access out of uncertainty and start extending it with confidence.
